Consent to adoption may be executed at any time after 72 hours after birth.
Can placing parents who have consented to an adoption change their mind and revoke their consent?
Yes, but revocation of consent is not automatic. Consent may be revoked only with court approval and upon showing that the revocation of consent is in the child’s best interests.
